Personal Information Emily Blincoe was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She was born on September 2, 1980 in Austin, Texas. She is currently 41 years old. When she’s not on the road traveling she splits her time between Nashville and Austin
Style She has many different collections of photographs that she takes. They include portraits, arrangements, Elanor (her dog), personal growth, home sweet home, mobile, ampersand, and the collection collection. My personal favorite collection is her arrangements. Her inspirations change from day to day, but some things that remain constant for her are colors, faces, little moments, light and finding beauty in the ordinary.
Philosophy She first got into photography when she was living at her brother's house. He had a darkroom in his laundry room and bought her a film camera to try and teach her. She found it interesting and fun to learn about. She bought herself a point and shoot camera, which she used to take pictures of the places she was and document memories. Over time taking photos became less of a hobby and more of a creative outlet.
Influences She doesn’t often scroll through other people's works, but the people who inspire her most are her friends. She also likes to surround herself with people who make her stop and look, some of them include Paul Octavious, Billy Jack Brawner III, and Jimmy Marble. She has influenced me through her arrangements collection.
Compare and Contrast

French Fry Line Up
The first photo I imitated was one of the more fun ones, because it included something I could eat after I finished. Even though my photo isn’t as tall as the original one, I felt it looked best like this rather than spaced out more. I tried to arrange my french fries in a similar way that she did, from smallest to biggest. I then used Photoshop to remove the background and change the color.

Ombre Lollipops
I had fun making the second photo as well because it also included something I could eat. I tried to get the color of my lollipops as close as I could to her original ones, but that was kinda challenging because I didn’t know the exact colors she used. One challenge I had while creating this photo was finding the right shades and placing them in order from darkest to lightest. While making this arrangement I enjoyed eating the last lollipop, but while it was fun it was also challenging because I wanted to get a similar size to the original without it being too big or too small.

Color Changing Leaves
My third and final picture was probably one of the hardest ones to take because I had trouble finding different colored leaves that were all similar sizes and or shapes. Even though the color of the leaves I had were a different color than the color of leaves that she had I think it looks pretty similar because they both have the leaves going form one color to another.
I chose this artist because I liked the way she did her arrangements. I liked that some o her arrangements were by color, or by type of object, or sometimes both. I really enjoyed learning more about Emily Blincoe because she a unique style and I find that really cool.
